Welcome to Hopp, South Africa's live discovery platform for events, activities, and real-world experiences.
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Hopp mobile application and website
(collectively the “Platform”). By accessing or using Hopp, you confirm that you have
read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).
01
Introduction and Scope
Hopp is a product of The Innovations Group, a South African solutions-based enterprise creator. The Platform aggregates local events, activities, and experiences, giving users real-time access to what is happening around them. Hopp does not directly organise, host, or manage events listed on the Platform. All event information is provided by third-party organisers and is subject to change without notice.
By using Hopp you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
02
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Platform.
- Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have the express consent of a parent or legal guardian prior to registration.
- Certain events listed on Hopp may carry additional age restrictions imposed by the event organiser or applicable law. These restrictions will be clearly indicated on the relevant event listing.
- By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and belongs to you.
03
Account Registration and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to notify Hopp immediately at info@hoppevents.co.za if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
- Hopp reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or compromise the integrity of the Platform or its community.
- You may not create more than one personal account or use another person's account without their explicit permission.
04
Event Discovery and Platform Use
Hopp provides a centralised discovery interface for events, activities, and experiences. The Platform does not sell tickets directly. Where ticket purchase options are provided, users are redirected to third-party ticketing platforms including but not limited to Quicket, Computicket, and Ticketspro, each governed by their own terms and conditions.
- Event listings are provided for informational purposes. Hopp does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listed event.
- Users may bookmark events and subscribe to push notifications for upcoming activities, subject to device and operating system permissions.
- Hopp reserves the right to curate, remove, or modify event listings at its sole discretion.
05
Acceptable Use and Community Standards
Hopp is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful community. You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Post, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing.
- Engage in harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse of any individual or group.
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the nature of an event listing.
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract Platform data without prior written consent from Hopp.
- Introduce malware, spam, or any code that disrupts or damages the Platform or its users.
